Collection: Miniatures

Miniatures is a new series of artworks remixing art movements and traditions from different centuries and millenia. These works combine the aesthetic and subject matter of different epochs to create entirely new works. The source materials used include Paleolithic cave paintings, ancient Roman frescoes, history paintings, 19th Century Japanese woodblock prints, 20th Century minimalism and photography, and 21st Century post-digital art.

Miniatures continues Mishka's investigation of photography's boundaries in the 21st Century and its role in documenting the vast breadth of cultural artefacts across time and civilizations.
