Collection: Golden Ratio: Print Editions

The Golden Ratio (Cash Paintings) series began as an exploration of value in art. On Valentine's Day in 2014, Mishka painted a Zero Dollar sign on card in his studio. Three days later, he painted a $1 sign and gifted it to his partner. And so began the series. Each time a painting was completed and found a new owner, the next painting would be completed, with each value conforming to the Fibonacci sequence.

Once the paintings achieved a value unaffordable to most, Mishka decided to return to the start and release print editions of the paintings at those same values. Would these reproductions increase the value of the original paintings or decrease them?

Like the paintings, once an edition sells out, a new edition of the next value is made. See the original paintings here.
